Some advice from an insanely happy just-married bride. 💞☺️

Dear future brides:

Please, girlfriend: Write your vows ahead of time… I mean… months. My only real stress of my big day was staying up all night before our wedding, practically in tears, trying to think of the perfect words to say. Doesn’t help knowing your partner is a poet with words, whilst you’re left trying to think of a new way of saying, “Roses are red…” ✍🏻

Things won’t turn out EXACTLY as you envision them. Of course. But, be relieved and grateful that some things will turn out even better. And let go of the things that don’t. There’s a LOT to be grateful on a day where everyone’s trying their best to make you happy and you just nabbed your best friend forever! I mean, the rest are ‘champagne problems!’ 🥂

At least ONE of your guests will give a speech that embarrasses you. 🙈 But others will find it exceedingly endearing. And you will too. Eventually.

Hire the best people you can, and then let them do their thing. You’ll be surprised just how much goes better than expected. Feels pretty good to let go once in a while and enjoy just how much other people care for you and your big day.

Prepare two hairstyles: one for a calm day, and one for a tsunami. Plan on rocking the tsunami hairstyle. 🌪💁🏼‍♀️

Make sure the love between the two of you stays the MAIN thing. Keep it at the center of your plans, dreams and expectations, and all the rest becomes icing on a super-tasty, super delish cake! 😋

And lastly,

The feeling you get when you see your lover, tearing up at the first sight of you in that special dress you took so long to pick out… That look will make the entire world wash away, the stars align, the silver-linings shine, and your heart will know that no matter what happens on this day, it is ALL perfect. It is all beautiful, in that mysterious ‘destined-to-be’ kind of way. ✨
